Maren Wickwire \ Founder and Executive Producer, Creative Director, DOP, Editor,
Maren Wickwire was born in Germany and founded Manifest Media subsequent to graduation in 2007. She studied Documentary film at the Folkwang Hochschule Essen and the Holon Institute of Technology in Israel, and holds an M.A. in Visual and Media Anthropology from the Freie Universität in Berlin. With wide-ranging experience in directing, producing and filming documentaries as well as working with multi-vocal video installations, Maren has presented her work in more than twenty countries and international film festivals and exhibitions. She is a recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts grant and a long time creative collaborator of the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative and ART WORKS Projects, focusing on peacemaking, conflict resolution and global migration.
Dario Bosio, Documentary Photographer, Cinematographer
Dario Bosio holds a BA in Journalism, a MA in Visual Anthropology and specialized in Documentary Photography and Video Production. He is the co-founder and artistic director of DARST, a nomadic art studio for research and production of documentary projects focusing mostly on collaborative practices in telling stories of refugees and displaced individuals both in Europe and the Middle East. In 2015, he moved to Iraq where he worked as the photo-editor of Metrography, the first Iraqi photo agency. During this time, he co-produced and curated the project Map of Displacement, a year-long investigation into the lives of displaced Iraqis.His work has been exhibited at festivals and venues worldwide and has appeared on TIME, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, BBC, RSI, la Repubblica, Internazionale, Politiken, The British Journal of Photography and several other media outlets worldwide. He often collaborates with NGOs such as Save the Children and Emergency. Dario is currently living in Turin where he teaches reportage at the European Institute of Design (IED).
Valerie V. Kittlitz \ Script writer, Editor, Field Producer
Valerie von Kittlitz is a writer and editor for text, audio and video productions. She is producing journalistic and documentary broadcasts for the Deutsche Welle and podcasts with the RBB (Radio Berlin Brandenburg) and the digital media production company Kooperative Berlin. Her essays have been published through academic peer reviews and journals at Harvard and FU Berlin respectively, as well as award-winning publisher The Pigeonhole. Valerie holds an MA in Visual and Media Anthropology and an intermediate degree in European Ethnology from Humboldt University, Berlin. Having grown up in India, Ethiopia and Germany, she has an innate interest in multifaceted cultural representations.
Desiree Agngarayngay Lai \ Post Production, Motion Design
Desiree has a background in television production and effects and holds a degree in post production and motion and effects design from Columbia College, Chicago Illinois. She has worked as a media manager and video editor in advertisement and non-profit sector. At Manifest Media, she collaborates on projects as associate producer, motion designer and editor. Manifest media is offering remote internships with a focus on digital media production and visual storytelling. Interns have the opportunity to team up and learn about various aspects of producing and publishing online content, with an emphasis on giving voice and meaning to the pressing issues of our time. If you’re motivated, highly organized, and passionate about human rights and digital platforms, please apply! Start dates are flexible but we require a min. of three months commitment. Looking for applicants with experience in multimedia production, design, motion graphics and strong writing skills.
