Creating a Digital Safe Space for Women and Girls

Project Overview

Laaha.org is a digital platform co-created with UNICEF to support women and girls—particularly those living in crisis-affected and fragile contexts—with reliable, accessible, and culturally sensitive information. Designed as a safe digital space, the platform addresses health, safety, violence prevention, and relationships through multilingual content tailored to diverse lived realities.

Our Role

Manifest Media provided global content leadership for Laaha.org, shaping both its visual identity and end-to-end content experience. Working closely with UNICEF and an international network of designers, illustrators, animators, writers, and editors, we led the development and coordination of more than 60 educational modules, alongside video content, animations, and podcast visuals.

Our role extended beyond production. We established creative direction, visual systems, and quality standards across languages and regions—ensuring clarity, emotional care, and cultural relevance at every touchpoint. This included adapting and commissioning illustrations, guiding tone and representation, and aligning all content with survivor-centred, trauma-informed principles.

Impact

Through thoughtful design and rigorous content coordination, Manifest Media helped transform Laaha.org into a trusted, scalable digital resource. The platform now offers women and girls a place to learn, reflect, and access support—delivering credible information with dignity and care, precisely where and when it is needed most.
